Contra — is the title of the American version of the game, it is rather strange but it was borrowed from the title of the Cuban special forces detachment— Contras.

The game appeared in 1988 and won the hearts of all action films fans. The game offers one of the best NES graphics, in 1988 it was just unbelievable. The character gets to an island and finds himself on the rock covered with green grass, he observes water in the bottom and white hats of mountains far away, and he could see sparkling with stars night sky above his head.
